Join us in Chew Magna for a free day of hands-on activities, live music, storytelling, screen printing, a treasure trail, and the chance to see real coins from the Chew Valley Hoard on display in the South West for the very first time.
Every Coin Tells a Story is created and produced by Valley Arts in partnership with South West Heritage Trust and forms part of the wider Chew Valley Hoard Project.

Free parking is available nearby. The event runs across Millennium Hall, the Upper and Lower Halls, and the courtyard.

Take a side-profile self-portrait and turn yourself into a coin. Add your own edge inscription and take home a digital print.

Create your own coin badge, get stuck into our craft activities, and explore a fascinating handling collection featuring real objects discovered in and around the Chew Valley. A perfect mix of creativity, history, and discovery.

Create your own Hoard-inspired keepsake using embossing techniques, with support from artist Giuliana Terran.
Treasure Trail

Follow clues around the site, solve the trail and collect a special prize at the end! Collect your maps and prize at the central info hub.

The Chew Valley Hoard Talk

South West Heritage Trust Senior Curator Amal Khreisheh tells the story of the Hoard’s discovery, its significance, and what happens next. Followed by Q&A.
Nigel Bookish : Live Music

A selection of music from solo acoustic guitarist Nigel Bookish ranging from folk to blues and country.
Ted Waters : Live Music
