Most Haunted Live meets This Country in this part-improvised, part-devised, fully West Country comedy thriller.
“Gurt Haunted” is a unique experience that brings together the best of theatre, comedy, thriller and all things supernatural – picture “Most Haunted Live” colliding with the humour of “This Country”.
Tony Chestnut and his team of world-renowned ‘professional paranormal investigators’ embark on a quest to put the spirits of whichever location they visit to rest (or at least capture some captivating footage for their latest TV series). When a violent poltergeist takes a member of the Gurt Haunted team as a hostage and holds them prisoner in the afterlife, Tony and the team have a wider issue on their hands. How can they restore order and to what lengths will they go to in order to save their colleague?
The show is proudly set in the South West and promotes the universality of local and regional stories. The humour, the references and the audience participation are all written/devised with a strong focus on making them universally accepted and understood, despite its regional lens.
The show explores what is truth and what is fiction within the realms of the paranormal and will undoubtedly leave the audience thinking ‘Am I a true believer… or have I just had one too many ciders?’
This immersive, paranormal parody guarantees an evening filled with laughter, surprises and a chance to explore the mysterious side of the South West.
