Our Objectives

Our targets for 2011

We were a part of Hemyock Singers. The members of the society were responsible for staging the annual village play and various other public and social events. The core members of The Hemyock Singers prefer to specialise in choral and other forms of singing presentations, quite different to the type of show that the society members are interested in staging. The decision was made to separate the interests and allow the groups to specialise in their chosen form of performing arts .

So here we are, the same people but under a new name Valley Arts & Social Society.

We have a long tradition for putting on plays, pantos and other shows, this will continue along with public entertainment of other forms along with social activity's for the society.

About Us

The objectives are much the same as it has always been;

To stage shows, comedy's, serious plays, pantomimes in fact anything we fancy doing as a group.

To arrange dances and various social and musical events within Hemyock and the Culm Valley.

To encourage people of all ages and ability's to join us and join in.

We have talked about putting on art and other media

events, certainly this is something to explore and

develop. Any volunteers?

To have social events within the society, this will

Include things like beach trips, party’s, barbies.

And most important of to have fun doing whatever
